Part of the Empire

No Emperor should go without his (or her) throne, so I (and others from Nordic Garrison) decided to build one.

We've just started and there's not much to show, but stay tuned for updates...

28 February
Busy day!!!

Got a LOT done today!

Testfitting of the coushins:

Added grey base coat

Black coat

Drilled holes for the eletronic panels

And fitted them

Drilled holes for mounting the throne to the base

Epoxyed the bolts from underneath the base

Painted the base

Painted details for the panels and the top front

(NO idea who's that kid is)

You'll need a tray

Then cut out two pieces

Sand the edges

Drill mounting holes

Drill holes for the leds and insert them

Connect the wires

I used one ordinary red LED and one fake car alarm one

Finally got the beginning of the foot in place so we can see how it will sit on the floor.

Most of the inner shape is done

Andreas found a new hiding place.

Emperor Fett likes the throne...

7 February
Finished painting the grey parts of the window, will add highlights and stars in the coming days.
Andreas and me also got a few bits in place on the throne.

Black plastic bags on the back.

Backdrop hung on the balcony.

Also got the lines on the backdrop taped.

Nice sideview

Stay on target...stay on target...

Andreas is doing some construction

Using every part of our bodies!

24 January 2009
Andreas and I bought a bunch of stuff for the build. Got together for about an hour and started cutting pieces.

The "madman" is at work...

Gotta work, work...

Cutting wood with a machine is noisy!

Better put on some protective ear thingys!
